As disciples of Jesus Christ, City of David and World Shaker Ministry are called to impact our world with the love and message of Jesus Christ through our music, our partnerships and in our every day lives.
BIOGRAPHY
City of David makes a powerful witness to what God can do in people's lives. It's been awesome watching the Lord work through their "Spirit-led" ministry as they meet the needs of people and share their love for Christ and His children. Their compassion and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit accompanies every bit of their music and every part of their ministry. They break through cultural barriers and pier pressure and change the hearts of people young and old.
They demonstrate integrity and wisdom, essential to ministry profile along with a profound commitment to redemption of the lost. They have an outstanding musical ability. Their love for Christ and His children flows humbly and powerfully through their music as they inspire people of all ages. Most importantly, their lives and lifestyle represent the highest ethical standards that are to be expected behind the music. Their connection with people is not just about their music, but also about their ministry which leads you to be inspired and blessed in the love of Jesus.
It's so true that God uses us when we're weak. In any given event you will find City of David's bass player, Bob Guss, Spirit-led as he recounts the events of the day that his life was changed forever. Bob says, "Everyone needs to hear about this divine encounter in person. It will change your life forever as it changed mine."
City of David is totally sold out for Jesus Christ, and their excitement about knowing and serving their Lord is so intense and so radical that it can be disarming to people who have settled for ho-hum religion or a mediocre relationship with God. Their devotion to the Lord, each other, and His ministry is not just what they do, but who they are. They are a light of faith and hope in a dark world. They transform people's perspective on leadership, generosity and honoring family and people of authority.
God has blessed City of David with a tremendous talent to grab an audience's attention with "edge-of-your-seat" Christian rock and then present a timely, relevant message through their testimonies and their music. Kids, teens, and adults respond to God through this ministry.
Many of the younger generation have begun to search openly for something to satisfy the void in their hearts that has been created by an empty religion. City of David feels blessed to have the opportunity to influence young people toward their destiny. What an absolute joy it is to be able to share with searching souls, the answer to fill their every need through Jesus Christ.
