My sister and my husband; life's experiences and Jesus of course! The bible is my constant source of comfort and direction.
Similar To:
I've been compared to an author from the 30's! Is that a good thing? I think so!
General Interests
Reading, writing, cooking, gardening, graphic designing and enjoying the company of my hubby of 31 years (hey, he's finally getting it!) and I also enjoy spending time with our dog, Shadow, who is 14 now, has diabetes and is blind, but she's a real trooper! She's full of love and we are ever so blessed to have her as part of our family.
Music
Classical, Country, 60's, 70's and 80's music and anything with a piano in it! I absolutely love the piano! I also like jazz and bluegrass. I love the flute, used to play violin and clarinet, but alas, I guess I'm just not musically inclined.
Books
The Bible is my constant source of guidance, of course! I also love mysteries, mystery/suspense, romance and Erma Bombeck! I love Steeple Hill Love Inspired and Harlequin Intrigue (mysteries you know - my favorite!).
Movies/TV
Favorite movie of all time is "The Ten Commandments". I also love comedies, family oriented movies and action packed movies! I love Lifetime and Hallmark movies as well. I enjoy suspense, but usually close my eyes during the really gorry parts. I despise movies or shows that show injured animals or animals being killed. I enjoy the wildlife here in the country and feed the critters! Hey, they have to eat too you know! TV shows I like best are: Navy NCIS, Medium, Monk, CSI, Cold Case, CSI Miami, Crossing Jordan, the 4400, Criminal Minds, Dead Zone, Psyche and anything that has to do with mystery.

Chasing Memories - First in the Memory Box Trilogy (2008)
Steven and Laura Thompson have the ideal marriage, and the birth of Annie only strengthens their bond. Life is perfect, as if they have forever, until everything changes in an instant with one man's careless decision - to drive while intoxicated - and the resulting accident leaves Laura a widow.

Now a single mother, Laura struggles to move on with her life but two years later, an unimaginable tragedy strikes again. While shoveling her elderly neighbor's snowy walk, a careening car slides into her on an icy patch on the street, and leaves Laura with no memory of either Steven or Annie!

Laura grapples to make sense of the missing pieces of her past, living in the present with a daughter she can't remember, a friend she doesn't know but must learn to trust, and a future filled with uncertainties. A beautiful memory box, handcrafted by her elderly neighbor and given to her at Christmas, is filled with precious mementos in the hopes she will one day remember.

As Laura instinctively fights for survival, her eventual surrender to a God of love brings hope, healing and a new wholeness to her shattered life.

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." ~~1 Corinthians 13:13 - NIV

About Cindy Bauer

Born and raised in Iowa, Cindy grew up the youngest of three children. An avid reader since early childhood, she often dreamed of becoming a writer. She always had a book in hand or nearby.

Cindy graduated from Assumption High School, married her husband Robert and left her dream behind. When her mother became terminally ill, the couple moved to Missouri to help her dad with her care. When she passed, they decided to stay and make it their home.

Cindy gained employment with her local daily newspaper in page design layout and it was then that her dream to write resurfaced. She occasionally writes a story, meriting front page placement, contributes to the weekly recipe page and assists with proofing and editing copy prior to publication.

With encouragement from her husband and sister, she published the first novel in an Inspirational trilogy series, Chasing Memories, in 2006, with publication of the second, Shades of Blue, in 2007. Her sister, a former journalism teacher, volunteered as her editing consultant. After this series, Cindy has plans to write a mystery/suspense series.

Cindy was a guest on the Internet Radio Talk Show, "Aging Outside the BoxTM", with host, Shirley W. Mitchell. The show was an hour long and broadcasted in 124 countries to a listening audience of 15 million people. You can hear the show, which is now archived, by using the links provided on Cindy's events page.

She is a member of ACFW (American Christian Fiction Writers) and also a book reviewer for Bookpleasures.com, managed by Editor Norm Goldman, one of the top 800 reviewers for Amazon.

"I believe the Lord has chosen me to spread His word through my words and who am I to question His plans for me? I hope to inspire others and renew their faith."

People Need the Lord!

Many are seeking worldly wealth,
And those treasures can be found,
But what does it profit a man
Who is still in darkness bound?
He is not free to really live,
Though his wealth may multiply,
For he was created for God?
And God alone can satisfy?
People Need the Lord!

Bound in sin, spiritually dead,
A lost soul misses so much,
And those chains that bind are broken?
Only by the Master's touch.
The one who diligently seeks
The Lord while He may be found,
Shall find in Him hidden treasures?
And true riches shall abound?
People Need the Lord!

Set free from the bondage of sin,
And joint heirs with Jesus Christ?
In Him we have all that we need
To live joyful, peaceful lives.
God provides wisdom and knowledge?
His moral law is instilled,
And when His Spirit enters man?
The hunger within is filled?
People Need the Lord!

"Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near"
Jesus said: "What shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world,
and lose his own soul?"
(Isa 55:6; Mk 8:36)

Hi Cindy,

I don't know how familiar you are with the Messianic movement, but it has become an amazing thing to behold, as Jews from all over the world have come to a saving relationship with Yeshua Hamashiah (Jesus, the Messiah). We can learn so much about our own faith by observing the Jewish perspective. We can also enjoy the rich tradition of Jewish art and music. With that in mind, I would like to invite you to check out an amazing new artist on my site.

Hillel Tokazier is a Jewish singer and songwriter from Finland, who draws on his roots in the synagogue, and then adds elements of jazz, blues, rock, and even gospel. The result is what I consider a totally delightful musical and spiritual experience. All of his songs are in Hebrew, yet I have enjoyed listening to them over and over. Come on by and check out "Shabat medley" that I have put on my page, then you can go to www.newfaithfavorites.com and listen to all of his songs.

I also, have an American singer, Elisabeth Genco, who has a song called "Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem" that honors Israel.

Thanks,

Jim

Hi Cindy,

It's great to hear from you. This summer's going by so fast, isn't it? We've been ducking severe thunderstorms and occasional tornados here. Last night around ten it was 80 degrees with humidity that rolled in through the windows like steam, yet a nasty thunderstorm kicked up complete with high winds that drove hail against the house. Keeps things interesting. =)

Blessings!

Is your life ablaze with praise for the One who breathed life into you, the One who taught you how to breathe in and out, the One who shared His own breath with you? How much of that breath have you returned to Him in the form of worship and praise?

We are to enthusiastically and with great joy praise God in the temple of our bodies. Indoors and outside we are to praise Him. In worship gatherings and when we are alone, we are to praise Him. We are to praise Him when we feel like it and when we don't. We are to fill His created universe with the praise of Him. We are to worship and praise Him because of His mighty deeds of goodness and the excellence of who He is. We are to praise Him with every musical instrument available. In a symphonic rhapsody we are to praise Him. Everything that breaths is to worship and praise the King. Psalm 150:1-6. Let His praise continually be in your mouth. Let your boasting be only and always of the Lord alone, so that others may hear of His wondrous grace and mercy and be glad. 34:1-3. Praise is always the right thing to do in all circumstances. In order to live in victory, we must learn to praise our God. It is a good thing that we do when we give the sacrifice of praise to the Most High in the morning. And declare His faithfulness at night with the same. As we come before Him with thanksgiving in our hearts, praising and loving Him, who has first loved us, we are welcomed into His presence where we receive the fullness of His grace. It is by the work of His Hands that we are made to triumph in His ways. Psalm 91:1-4. It is by praise that we keep the door to victory open. May the whole world soon be filled the praise of Him.

Love and hugs
Sylvia

Have a marvelous 4th of July! What a great time to praise Him. <

Stand for Truth

Stand for Truth in the midst of storms
When your world seems to fall apart,
When fiery trials and suffering
Have left you with a broken heart?
Stand for Truth!

Stand for Truth in uncertain days
When decisions need to be made,
And when tempted to compromise,
Just remember the price Christ paid?
Stand for Truth!

Stand for Truth though others turn back,
Entertain no thought of retreat,
Fearlessly fight for righteousness,
You will never suffer defeat?
Stand for Truth!

Stand for Truth on the mountaintop
When the day is sunny and fair,
When the evil one would tempt you,
Just remember your Lord is there?
Stand for Truth!

Oh, friend, put on God's whole armor,
Trust Him, stand firm, and never yield,
Though the battle rage around you,
You have a sure footing and shield?
Stand for Truth!

"Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth,
and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod
with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield
of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God"
(Eph 6:14-17)

Hello my precious friend. Hope you are doing well and being blessed.

Listen to Me My victorious child. I have purged you of your sins and now I sit at the right hand of the majesty of the Most High, always making intercession for you. I have given you the excellence of My name, which is above all names. Do not be shy and hold back from that which I have called you to. Grace and more grace is what you have. You are free to sail with Me into the realms of the greatness of My excellence. I uphold all things by the word of My power. I am the eternal Son of God, My Father, who became the glorified and exalted man of your redemption. I have inherited all things from My Father, who has made you a joint heir with Me. I have claimed you for My own and given you the keys to the Kingdom of God for you to use NOW. Today! Every day! Come drink of the intoxicating love that I extend to you My beloved. Spend time in the throne room with Me. Bask in My relentless, overpowering, life changing love. Come, take up your place in My kingdom, you are the brightness of My glory as I am the brightness of the Fathers glory. Let the power of My word keep you in the secret place of My presence where the consuming fire of My glory covers you. Where no evil can find a place to kill, steal or destroy your destiny. Die to the desires and torments of your flesh and awaken unto the life that the provision of My death and resurrection has made available to you. Fear not I have gone before you and prepared your way.

I died that you might always have enough of every good and perfect gift of My love to sustain you in your earthly journey. I am El Shaddai. I am enough. Enough love, power, knowledge, wisdom and provision to complete the course of your life in Peace (wholeness), joy and victory. I died that you might never be lacking in any good thing. Trouble, sorrows and persecutions a plenty will come your way, but I have overcome them all. And My victory is yours today, just as surely as your eternal future is safe and laid up for you in heaven. Trust Me! I have been where you are. I have walked in your shoes. Now come walk in mine and enter into the victory of My triumph over all the powers of evil.

May the fullness of Christ glory covering you be always visible to the world around you. And may you be always the conduit of His love, which changes the darkness into the resplendency of His marvelous life changing light.

Hebrews 1:1-4; Romans 8:34,7,13; Psalm 34:10; James 1:5, 3:17; Luke 1:19.

Have a great weekend!!!!

Gratefully In the service of His majesty

THE KEY TO THE FATHERS HEART IS LOVE COMMUNICATED TO HIM BY OBEDIENCE AND PRAYER. AND PUT INTO ACTION BY FAITH

The key and secret to enjoying the life that we have in Christ is faith. Jesus is always saying to us be not afraid only BELIEVE. To believe is the key that opens the door to a rich and rewarding prayer life. And our pray life, our communication with our Father, is the only mean by which we bring the resource and power of heaven into this earth realm. Into our lives. Faith unlocks our understanding of Scripture. Prayers offered in faith releases the Great Heavenly Dove's ( the Holy Spirit's) activity in our life and world. Faith is quite like love. It evidences itself in obedience to the one who Himself is Love.. Faith speaks. It boldly enters into the presence of the Father, not to simply ask, but to receive the things that it needs in order to be like Jesus. We Can, and are commanded to do so, with confidence know that it is the Father's good pleasure to grant to us any and all things that will allow us to become like Christ. This is His will for our lives. His very best. It is He who desires it most. Believe in the miracles of Jesus. Believe that He desires to work these miracles in and through your life. Our Father wants us to understand that His glory is revealed in the lives of those who believe and receive. We are God's evidence to the world that Jesus it Lord, and that we are empower by Him to be like Jesus. This is the truth of His word. And it is what we practice of His word that brings blessings to us and others. This is the way of the Most High God. This is His plan. To know Jesus is to know God. Jesus spend His life acting and speaking just like the Father that we might know God sent Him to us. The only way the world can know that we know Jesus and that He has sent us into the world to glorify Him, is in our acting and speaking just like Him. As He did the works of the Father, we are to do all the works of the Son. Or else who will believe us? Our likeness to Him is the proof that we are in Him and He in us for all the world to see. The greater works ministry is what Jesus says we will do. Therefore we must pray and expect the greater things that enable us to minister like Jesus. Let us boldly ask and receive the things we need to live, love and do His work. And don't forget to talk like Jesus. This is very important. What we say reveals what is in our heart and what we believe in our heart is what we get.

Mark 5:36; Luke 8:50; JOHN 16:23-24, 10:37-38, 11:40,13:17,14:12-14,16:24; Hebrews 10:35; Matt 18-20; Mark 16:17-20; Mark 11:23-24; John 5:20, 14:12; Matthew;12:3, Luke 6:45.

May you have a beautiful day. May God's presence be to you like a warm coat on a cold winter day. May His joy and love fill your heart and His provisions fill your life each day. ( God gave me this a week or so ago and I love it. It is His desire for all of us.)

Hello Everyone!

I am hoping this finds everyone doing well. We are sending a Bulk message out to all Our ShoutLife! Friends... We have missed our time on ShoutLife! and all of our ShoutLife! Friends ! Thank you for keeping in contact with us !

We have been very busy traveling around doing Events, trying to catch up on writing, and getting our new office space situated. And we have been busy with trying to get our Computer System back into an organized state after a file in our computer just erased itself for no reason one morning. At least, no reason we can think of anyway. So we have been trying to get our Websites up-to-date since that happened, which takes an extremely long time to do. We even had to put a new hard-drive and operating system back into the computer as well... With over two million files to add back in, we do just a little everyday to get them back in order !

We are in hopes, now, to be able to spend a little more time back on ShoutLife!, Self Growth, CCM & Growing Bolder - all the Social Sites we are in currently. We have our BLOG system pretty well up-to-date now, and will start working on the Websites (53) this coming week to bring those up-to-date !

I look forward to being back on ShoutLife! and talking to all my friends again!

Blessings Always in HIM...
