The Vision of : Choose This Day

Let it be known that the group of believers which perform under the name Choose This Day exists to fulfill God's will in three purposes. The first is to glorify God. The second is to see lost souls come to the knowledge of the Salvation offered by Christ. The third is the edification of the Body of believers.

Purpose 1: The Glorification of God *** God, as understood to be the Trinity of God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, is the Creator and Redeemer of the universe. All good things come from Him and He is worthy of all praise and honor. We, the members of Choose This Day understand that all of our talents and abilities are given by God to be used for His purposes. With these facts in mind, we have dedicated ourselves to the glorification of the worthy and Holy One. We are convicted that anything less would be counter to Design and a squandering of our efforts.

Purpose 2: Drawing Others to Christ *** While we were yet sinners, God became a man in the person of Jesus Christ and offered Himself as a perfect, sinless sacrifice to pay the price that was required of our souls. This same Christ declared that He was the fulfillment of God's plan to redeem a fallen world. As such, and by His claim, a faith in Jesus is the only means by which a man may be saved from an eternity of torment in Hell. Since God, by nature, is incapable of lying, and since Jesus is God, His words are true. In light of these undeniable truths, Choose This Day , as followers of Christ, dedicate themselves to drawing others to a knowledge of Jesus Christ's redeeming acts so that they may find a faith in Him, thus avoiding eternal torment and hence being "saved". Although we recognize that some may view this stance as "narrow-minded", thus is the nature of absolute truths. No amount of denial or perspective will abate gravity's pull. Likewise, Christ's deity is absolute and not relative to any individual's perception or interpretation.

Purpose 3: Edification of the Body *** As Choose This Day exists to glorify God and to draw others to Him, we also feel it is an important part of our ministry to build up other followers of Christ in their walks with Him. We recognize the struggles that an individual, a church, or a community may encounter while in God's service and resolve to do what is within our ability and calling to lift up and support our brothers and sisters in Christ. This goal may take on a variety of incarnations from simple prayers, to benefit concerts, to monetary support so long as the Body of Christ (the Church as a whole) is furthered by the action taken.

This three-point mission shall form the basis for all actions taken by Choose This Day. Each decision made and act carried out should fulfill, fall in line with, or further at least one of the purposes stated while never working counter to any of the purposes.
