I had a standard "About Me" that disappeared with one of the gremlins a few months ago. Since then I have been "undefined."
I've been on Shoutlife for almost two years now, and it has been a lifeline for me. Being somewhat handicapped (though, thankfully, I can still get around some), the computer has become my main way to keep in touch with the world. Shoutlife has been more than the world for me--it has been a spiritual family that God has used in many wonderful ways.
I used to teach French, Spanish, English, and English as a Second Language until I had to leave on disability. I won't go into all that now, but the disabilities have really made me learn to appreciate every little thing so much more than I ever did before. And they have taught me a lot about God's providence. He never fails.
Now I have started reviewing book on a blog as well as here, and I do copy editing. God gave me some incredible connections that started right here at Shoutlife.
Happy Saint Patrick's Day! For some that means green beer, pins with the message "kiss me, I'm Irish," jigs, happy Celtic music, and the wearin' o' the green. And what do you think of when you think of Saint Patrick? Ireland, without a doubt. H...

Literary Lapses 101, #6--Al or All?

I notice that a lot of people have a hard time deciding whether or not to mash a couple of words together. Now sometimes it may be a typing problem; I personally have trouble hitting the space key hard enough, so I have to constantly re-read and ...

FORGIVING SEAN by Jessica Adriel

A teenage pregnancy, baby lost, boyfriend walks away, then pops up again two years later. A romantic triangle. If this sounds like the ingredients of a dozen other romance novels or romantic movies, they are. But it isn't really the same. This tr...

Slam! Before he can even react, Vince Reardon found himself catapulted off his Harley and into the rain-sodden intersection. Inside he is seething with rage at the stupid lady driver who hit him. She was too distracted on her cell phone to noti...

I'm around, but not really around Shoutlife as much. Mostly puttering around Facebook more.
What's new? I'm not entirely sure if anything is really new, but everything is really good. Busy. Quite busy. But a good kind of busy.
Any books? Yes, actually! I'm not sure when. I actually got it to the publisher in late summer 2008, and I've heard they're finally getting to some more focus on it now. So... fingers crossed about summer '10 release.
Hi Cathi,
Thank you for your message. Sorry I'm getting back to you so late... I'm working on a new book.
As for the term expat, it usually means someone from one country is temporarily living in another country, to do a specific job. That is our case as well. My husband is working for his company here to help set up new operations in their plant here. We plan to be here for about 2 more years. And we're enjoying it very much! Very fun to be able to tour Europe with our boys, and to experience other cultures on a very deep level.
Thank you for your kind words, and for reading my blog.
Blessings to you in Cincinnati!
Love,
Jennifer
