Bruce accepted Christ as his Savior at 14, and soon after taught himself to play guitar and bass. He was very active in his home church's worship team until he joined the United States Navy at 21. He is a veteran of Lebanon and Persian Gulf conflicts, Operation Desert Shield/Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Throughout his Navy career, he remained active in worship teams and songleading wherever God (and the Navy) planted him. He retired from Active Duty after 24 years and began a singing/songwriting music outreach. Much of his experience has been in worship teams and special music in churches worldwide. His completed songs are registered through BMI.
Musically, his early influences were Country/Bluegrass. His first introduction to Pop and Rock included artists like Three Dog Night, the Eagles, Lynnyrd Skynnyrd, and Jim Croce. He became a christian at a concert headlined by the late Larry Norman. His influences in Contemporary Christian Music include Larry Norman, Keith Green, Don Francisco, Petra, and Steven Curtis Chapman. His music points to the cross of Christ, the life that comes from Christ, and the hope He gives us. As a result, his music has a unique blend of Pop, Rock, and Country.
His new album, "God So Loved The World" contains songs about the redemption bought on the cross, and of the hope we have in Him.

I attend a church that has a primary focus in small groups. The staff says that small groups are not a PART of our ministry, it's how we DO ministry. If you look at the example of Jesus, He had a very public ministry, but he spent over three years ...

My pastor recently showed a Youtube video from Penn Jillette's video blog. Penn, of the Vegas comedy/magic act Penn and Teller, is an outspoken atheist. In the video, he talks about a Christian who gave him a pocket New Testament following a show. ...

As I'm working on a new CD, I've been spending a lot of time with the Book of Revelation lately. (All of the songs will be based from this book!) Most people think mostly about the heavy wrath of God poured out, or they think of the promise that Go...

This weekend is a special time in America, Memorial Day. While this is the unofficial start of summer filled with the Indy 500, sales, and so forth, it is also a time for reflection. Started in 1867, it was originally called "Decoration Day" as peo...

Thoughts of Easter

Easter is once again here. While we should be thinking daily about what the Lord's death, burial, and resurrection mean, we tend to focus on it at this time of year. It is the very heart of the Christian faith and our whole reason for being. The e...

Hi Bruce,
It doesn't matter whether you're Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Conservative, or Liturgical you need to be aware of what God is doing in these days through the Messianic movement. The more we understand the roots of our faith in Judaism, the more we can understand what God wants us to know to make that faith grow.
It doesn't matter whether you like rock, country, contemporary, gospel, or hip hop, you need to grow in your musical tastes, and sample the rich tapestry of Messianic Jewish music that is available today. To that end, I would like to introduce you to two amazing Messianic artists, whose musical style is very unique, and totally wonderful.
Deborah Kline-Iantorno's music springs from her Jewish and Puerto Rican roots, and her years as a night club singer. Her songs are exciting, her voice is gorgeous, and the message she brings is right on.
Straight from Jerusalem, Israel, the songs of Rivka Whitten are alive and fresh. Her music is a unique mix of Yemenite Israeli vocals along with rhythms from around the world, and a gifted group of instrumentalists.
Please come on by, and check out a couple of amazing songs that I have put on my page, then you can go to www.newfaithfavorites.com and listen to all of them.
Thanks,
Jim
