For forty years, The Bible Tones Quartet have traveled back and forth from Pennsylvania to Florida singing songs and delighting audiences at festivals, churches, concerts and conventions. Home based in Florence, South Carolina, the Bible Tones began in 1968 with a father, son, and a very close friend. The father was Iven Miles and he still sings tenor for the group. At the present there have been nine members from the group that are either serving as pastors or evangelists.
The group recorded it's first album, "Tell Me a Story With a Happy Ending", in 1972, and later the "Best of 89". The "Bibletones Greatest Hits"and "The Journey" in 2004, with "Foot-Stompin' Gospel", "Under Old Glory", "Let's Have Christmas" in 2005, "Our Favorite Hymns" in 2006, "The Concert Series and "Foot-Stompin'" DVD in 2007.
The Bible Tones were inducted into the Pee Dee Southern Gospel Hall of Fame in 1998.
The Bible Tones weave a blend of Christ love and gentle humor into their concerts. Their music is a slice of Southern Americana, reflecting on God's love for people and a genuine heart felt warmth of excitement when sharing the message of Jesus Christ.
They are delighted to share with you their latest CD entitled "I'm So Thankful" A Tribute To Bill Poley to be released March2008.
