I love the music of Bill Gaither. Lots of his songs are included in our shows. Funny little story--My first husband and the father of my children's name is Billy Gaither. My son's are frequently asked if they are related to Bill Gaither and they just say, "Yes, he is my dad." They had no idea who the people were talking about when they first began to be questioned about their last name!

I have been told that I sound a lot like Patsy Cline when I sing Country music. And a Christian radio DJ just told me last week that I sound like a "husky" Patsy Cline. I guess my voice is a little lower pitched than hers.

Betty Overstreet is a Gospel & Country Western vocalist. She has performed Country Western music in the San Francisco bay area for a number of years and she can now be heard sharing her much loved 'Old Time Gospel" music also. "The Overstreets" perform at Senior Residential homes frequently as well as private parties.
They are especially enjoying the invitations to sing at Church Luncheons, Dinners and any event that has a need for their music. They experienced their first cross-country Gospel Music tour during the fall of 2007 with stops in Colorado Springs, Independence, Mo. and Fairfield Glade, Crossville and Chattanugga Tennessee and are hoping more offers from churches between their home in California and Tennessee will be forthcoming so a tour can be scheduled in 2008!
Betty (known as Betty Kean at that time) traveled to Tennessee in 1988 for a recording session in Nashville. She released one song, "Let the Sandman Wait" that climbed up to the 100 spot on the Cashbox charts and number 23 on the Independent label on Cashbox.
