I am on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/basil.yarde
I have been singing for as long as I can remember. Raised in the Christian faith in Barbados, I discovered that performing before large audiences proved very natural, and found singing to be a very powerful tool for transmitting the Gospel of Christ. At the invitation of the British government, for example, I had been granted the opportunity to sing at fairs, youth correctional facilities, schools and churches.
As an itinerant evangelist and singer, I have traveled all over the Caribbean as well as to several European, African and South American countries. My mentoring under the renowned Dr. James Kennedy allowed me the privilege to, in turn, train the staff of many denominations and islands for 11 years in evangelism, including a one-week training for the Anglican clergy of the Bahamas and Turk & Caicos Islands.
Currently, I reside in Boston with my wife, Marion, and my son, Brandon. Our eldest son, Basil, Jr. still lives in Barbados. In Boston, my wife and I continue our "Final Thrust" ministry to train believers to effectively communicate the Gospel. I also host a program called "Ministry in Spotlight" on WEZE radio.
I am a pastor, teacher, and singer, and I takes seriously the call to minister to the body of Christ, and not merely to entertain. I strive to remind people of the majesty of God and stimulate the mind, causing the audience to think, and compel them to reflect on their eternity.
I minister in concerts, church services, weddings and other venues.
Please enjoy some of the songs from my new album "Crushed But Sweetly Broken."
