The Aydellon is a graphic novel. A graphic novel is similar to a comic book but longer with a continuous storyline like a novel. But Aydellon is unique in that there is a vast storyline that spans thousands of years, and each storyline can have a different look! All the stories are based on the ancient stories of the bible (some well over 3000 years old!!) Now right off the bat some are going to say "Its to preachy!" the other side will say, "It's to worldy!" My goal is tell a parable. A gigantic parable! A story to illustrate greater truths. One of my inspirations are the writtings of C.S. Lewis. I like the way Aslan the lion is a symbol for Christ. Jesus called us sheep. he told stories all the time! The bible is one huge EPIC story! Some take the bible as the literal historical truth (me) others see it as a wonderful collection of stories and nothing more. But I think everyone can agree that it is the worlds best seller! I'm not going to apologize for my beliefs, I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ as I truley believe it is the universal truth! Hey if George Lucas can put his eastern beliefs in his stories and still be accecpted and not seen as a zealot why can't I do the same for my stories? Good vs Evil? temptation? Going against the grain? This is not just good movies! These concepts are shown over and over in the bible. At the same time I really don't want to make another bad low budget christian product! Any thing that has "christian" label on it usually tends to be hokey or badly done. I am not calling my novel a "Christian book" It's for everyone who loves storys and fantasy. I must admit i am hoping that these comics will cause some to pick up the "orginal" and read for themselves the stories of the bible. whew! nuff said.
