General Interests
As for things I like to do I like to scrapbook, sing, listen to music, be with family, read, hang out with the dogs, travel, bead, cook, bake...I think there are more things, but right now I can't think of anything else. Memory issues. =-) Just another thing you learn to deal with. hehe That's about all I can think to write on here.
Music
I listen to a lot of music. I can't say I love screamo. I can't seem to get past the screeching, but I do listen to it when I don't have a migraine. I did that once and it was a mistake because I missed RED and I was so bummed! I love Barlowgirl, Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Chris Tomlin, Thousand Foot Krutch, and those are just the few I can think of. I also like country, oldies, big band/swing, so I like a lot of music.
Books
Oh, goodness. I love thriller/suspense/mystery with a dash of romance tossed in. =-) I love to read authors I've not seen before, but I like to get old fav's too and I have way too many to list.
Movies/TV
I like 'The Pelican Brief' and 'Fireproof'. Lets see 'Anastasia', 'Journey to the Center of the Earth (Brandon Fraiser). Brandon Fraiser is a great actor and makes family friendly movies. I'll try to remember more later.

About Me
A little about me...I am 34 and I have been married for 9 1/2 years. My husband works in the IT field and is a Lay Speaker for our district. We have 4 children. The oldest is 18 and in college, two are juniors in high school and the youngest is a freshman. We have 2 dogs and a cat. I am also someone who has Neurocardiogenic Syncope and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Both are invisible illnesses. I was diagnosed in 2000 after experiencing symptoms pretty much all my life. All these fancy word to say I pass out unexpectedly and I can have an extremely fast heart beat 120 to over 200 beats per min. in some cases. My heart rate has been clocked at 195 beats per min. In 2000, I was a newly wed, just a year away from graduating with my law enforcement degree and I had just finished up my social work degree. I had plans to obtain my Forensic Psychology degree, but God had other plans for me. I went through the stages of grief. I lost the life I knew and gained a totally new life. It totally redefined who I was. Everyone experience's something they didn't plan for in life and #1 thing has gotten me through it has bee God. He's been there at every twist, turn, and straightaway I have in life, but something else I find is laughter, music, and family/friends. God created us with joy, laughter, song & love so we can praise him in good & in times of trial. Don't shut yourself into a hole if you are going through a rough patch. You need a support system around you. Satan will try to work at you until you are at your wits end.

Anyway, some other things about me....I am planning on working on my tourism degree here soon. I have 2 siblings younger than I am. My sister is married with 3 children and a golden retriever who I am trying to get semi-trained. She is a bit hyper. =-)My sister will be a nurse in 2 years. She just started her clinical's. My brother is single with an 8 year old golden retriever. My brother drives a semi. My father is also a semi driver and my mom is a social worker.
Thanks for reading!

*Sigh* I'm so glad I'm home and in bed. It was a very long day. After I got sick I didn't realize after the kids got into high school they would be more difficult than in elementary or even in jr. high. They think they know everything, don't think th... (login or sign up to read more)

A Day of Training   9/16/2009 - 9:45 PM
I'm pretty tired tonight. Sorry if this blog makes total nonsense. Well, worse than the others. =-) I have a hard time putting thoughts together so my sentences look like my 8 year old niece was at the keyboard. Well, today was a fairly dull day. I f... (login or sign up to read more)

Another Day & other things on my mind   9/15/2009 - 9:36 PM
Over the next few weeks if you have high school aged teenagers who will be attending the homecoming dance they are wanting to hightail it to the mall to look for a new outfit for the big shindig. Well, the boys, if they aren't like my son, care what ... (login or sign up to read more)
