General Interests
Christian writing and issues affecting Christians in todays world. I am interested in finding new friends and learning how to be a better writer and a more effective Christian.
Music
I love music. I have been playing piano since I was in the 3rd grade. I love Southern Gospel, old hymns and classical music, big band swing, praise and worship, bluegrass, celtic, some country music and some old rock and roll.
Books
Of course my own book is a favorite of mine. :) I suppose it is strange but I really do not like to read long novels. I like to read short stories and aritcles. I read Devotionals everyday but I really like to write more than I like to read. My high school English Teacher who is one of my greatest encouragers in writing says that is "just weird". ha :) After having two books published I have learned a great deal about myself as a writer. Unless God really calls me to write another book, I will stick to short stories, articles, and freelance. I enjoy it so much more than selling books. I loved writing the books, but marketing and selling them is not what keeps me writing. I am called to write, not sell books. My dream is to someday have a publisher who would sell and distribute the books for me. That is the dream. For now until that dream comes true, the fastest way to have my writing read is to give it away by blogging or contributing to websites, and freelancing. Both of which I love doing. To help pay some bills and buy printer ink--I freelance. I am a member of GoodReads. com where you are welcomed to view all my favorite books.
Movies/TV
I like to watch movies. Some of my favorites are Fried Green Tomatoes, The Green Mile and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I like old movies and action packed movies. Just for fun and relaxation.
