We are a 501c3 (working on the IRS paperwork) non-profit foundation helping our Youth who age out of foster care either at 18 or 21. We come into their lives at 17 and work with them to find out what their goals are and how they feel about being on thier own. We help with Full time jobs, college, trade school, deposits for lights, phone , water, etc. We help them find good used cars either by donations or funding. Food, clothing, and more. Every child needs a chance at a real grown up life and not have to hit the streets to make a living or go back to what they were taken out of.
We all have to ability to make life what we want it to be, but when you are passed around from foster home to foster home, school to school, city to city you learn to turn off any desire to want anything. A hand full of kids in the United States Foster care system will go to college and make something of themselves without help.
Our children need our help and we all have the power to help them.
We are hosting our first annual Gala in March and need donations to help us become a 501c3 foundation for the kids. The IRS cost as of January 2010 850.00 to file these papers and the state of VA cost will be 75.00. Most people want us to be a 501c3 before they will donate to the foundation. We have most paperwork filled out, but the funds are harsh for us at this time. There are only three of us starting and it is our family as we are searching for others to help out. If you would like to donate you can send your donations to 104 Royal Oak Court Suffolk, VA 23434 757-338-3344
