Travel, especially Italy. Cooking. Gardening-someday I want to have a huge garden. I love to fish and spend time at the lake. Shopping is always fun. In the fall, I love to watch football--I'm a huge Arkansas Razorbacks fan!

I have a very eclectic taste in music--James Taylor, the Beatles, Elvis, Better than Ezra, Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, and the list could go on! U2 is one of my very favorites?I've seen them in concert a couple of times and they're fantastic. I'm also a huge country music fan. I like some of the classics, like Alabama and George Strait, but have recently become a fan of Rascal Flatts and the Zac Brown Band. My life definitely has a soundtrack!

Annalisa Daughety is a native of McCrory, Arkansas, a tiny town deep in the delta, where mosquitoes are as big as birds. Even though she has lived in many states and traveled to many countries, she will always be an Arkansas girl at heart. And yes, she has been known to call the Hogs, especially during football season!
Annalisa graduated from Freed-Hardeman University, in Henderson, Tennessee. She was an American studies major/history minor. Only one class prevented her from being a double major, but that would've meant staying another semester. And as fun as that would've been, it just wasn't practical.
She worked as a park ranger for the National Park Service at Shiloh National Military Park, which inspired her to write the Walk in the Park series.
She has been a writer since she could hold a pencil (and being left-handed, holding a pencil can be tough!). Annalisa's mother still has some of the stories from her early elementary years that she wrote, illustrated, and bound together to look like books. The words were pretty good. The illustrations were not.
When Annalisa was 14, she went on vacation with her best friend's family, and spent the entire trip writing what she thought would be the next great American novel. Sadly, that particular project fell by the wayside, but the dream of being a published author remained.
Today, Annalisa lives in Memphis, Tennessee with her two dogs, Arnie and Buster. She works as the special events and marketing coordinator for the National Foundation for Transplants, a position she finds very rewarding.
