Vie was born and raised amongst the rolling hills of Northern California. Despite the soothing scenery it didn't take long for music to take over his life. By the age of 5 he started playing drums, which consisted of two snares, one stand and two metal knitting needles for drumsticks. By age 12, after getting a "real" drum set, Vie added, along with singing and songwriting, guitar, trumpet and piano to the mix.
After a youth full of rock and roll garage bands and school bands, Vie dove head first into what he calls "the biggest waste of time in my life" the Top-40 world. Although he was able to finally make a living as a full time musician, he had stopped writing songs and his walk was non-existent. "I was out of control" he says, "But I did grow as a musician and I did learn how NOT to act".
In December of 2002 Vie joined the worship team at Faith Community Church, which eventually lead him to writing and playing music exclusively for the Lord. Although he accepted Christ at a very young age, (as he sings about in his song Goodbye), Vie believes that it was not until this point that he was fully God's will, using the gifts God had given him for His glory.
