I have been married to my best friend, Marie, for forty-one years. We have three daughters, Donna, Shawna, and Jennifer, and eleven amazingly creative grandchildren. Four granddaughters: Sarah, Haley, Beverly, and Katie. And seven grandsons: Michael, Jason, Jake, Adam, Jack, Connor, and Spencer. We live just outside of Memphis, TN.

We tried the empty nest thing but we didn't like it much. It was too quiet. We were used to having a houseful of happy children having fun. We're a lot happier now that Jennifer and her four children live with us. We've found that being around these kids makes us feel like kids ourselves. We get to see the world through their eyes and share their sense of wonder.

We are a Homeschooling family. We enjoy learning about American History and the role God has played in it. We are also studying the Bible, paying particular attention to everything that Jesus said, and getting to know the Lord by spending time with him in his word.

Nothing can compare to the beauty of God's word. I enjoy writing about the Bible and teaching others how to apply it to their everyday lives. When I finished the Bible Believer's Handbook and gave it to my children, I told them, "This is what I've learned in my first sixty years of life. Take it and use it. I can hardly wait to see what you're going to do with it."
