Where do I start? I'm an avid reader. If you see me at the library, I'm probably either in the mystery or Sci-Fi/fantasy section, though I like a good Christian romance every now and then. My absolute favorites? The Chronicles of Narnia, hands-down. (Hate the movies: I keep thinking, "that wasn't in the book!" Then again, I've only read the entire series 7 or 8 times.) I also love Donita K. Paul, Louisa May Alcott, the Little House series, and L. M. Montgomery. You'll also find Sherlock Holmes and more than one Star Trek TOS novel on my bookshelf.

The only shows I really keep up with are Phineas and Ferb and Mythbusters. If I happen to be flipping through channels and see one of these, I might just stop and watch: M*A*S*H, Doctor Who, Star Trek TOS, Penguins of Madagascar, Iron Chef, Dirty Jobs, Deadliest Catch, to name a few.
As for movies, I'm more into older ones, especially comedies. Give me Danny Kay or a Bob Hope/Bing Crosby "Road To" any day. I also love the Marx Brothers, Gene Kelly, Cary Grant, and Jerry Lewis. My favs include Father Goose, The Court Jester, Singing in the Rain, The Princess Bride, Secondhand Lions, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and Up.

I'm an RN who loves to write. I have three rough drafts under my belt (thanks, NaNoWriMo!) that I would like to publish someday. Eventually.

Today, I was reminded that NaNoWriMo is only 6 weeks away. All I could think was "Wow. Already?" The plot's been literally itching my brain since I finished last year's novel in July. Yes, I know. I was supposed to finish last year's novel in Novembe...

OK, so I let it sit a while since December. November was long over, but Christmas was coming up. I had stuff to do and a major case of writer's block. How in the world was I going to wrap up the story? It was all so anti-climatic, both in the storyli...

Is it possible that something you've been taught your whole life is wrong?
Isaiah 64:6 in the NIV says, "All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wi...

I was reading in my Bible today about John the Baptist. The people he preached to were very impressed with him. They thought maybe he was the promised Messiah. He told them nope, I'm not Him, but He's coming very soon.
"Well then, are you the Elija...

Yay! I won! I got over 50k words, and counting! Well, my story's not actually finished, just yet, but I do plan on finishing it, and soon. I'm going to keep on going at this break-neck pace until the story is done. Right now, it looks like it may win...
