Cousin of Tim, Steve & Janice Archer, managed The Archers' 1978-79, and also wrote or co-wrote a number of their songs from 1973 thru 1979. Began writing career with "Godfather of R&B", Johnny Otis (So Fine, With Every Beat of My Heart).
