I Am Yours Lord (2006)
Released in December 2006. Nine of the ten songs on this CD have been getting airplay in Canada, the UK and Europe. In the coming year there will be a push in the U.S. as well. Lots of these worship songs are already being used by other worship leaders. It's just a matter of time and exposure.

Dance O Child Of God (2004)
Fourteen Songs Inspired to express God's faithfulness through the loss of a daughter. Some of the songs were Norm's daughter Carly's favorites. One she used to dance to as a small child. The genre is so wide open that you have to just sit down read the stories and lyrics and listen and experience God's faithfulness and goodness even in a time of loss. Scriptures permiate out of these songs as do promises and hope and a constant call from the Lord to come on home. 24 of Norman's songs are available at iTunes and many other download venues for sale. But the best deal is to buy the album with the booklet, for only $10 including taxes and shipping. It's a must purchase. You won't regret it. Many who have done so have come back and purchased several more to give as gifts.

About Norman Patrick Morrison
|
|
Hi, What would you like to know? Let's see, I'm 3rd born son to parents of seven children. 5 boys then two girls. I am married and have 5 children. I lead worship for my home Church for two services every other Sunday and lead worship for Celebration Recovery meetings at two different churches each month. I love to write prayer songs to the Lord. I love the written word of God and love to apply it in my living and in my songs. I love to teach the word to others. I am in leadership for men's groups and ministries and have an accountability group that I started in 1996 born out of Promise Keepers that is still growing strong. I've witnessed many awesome miracles that the Lord has done. I've seen Him change many people's lives. I'm blessed to be a child of God.
When I got married a long time ago I put my guitar down and went to work as a carpenter. Did that for 14 years and then started selling real estate. Still doing that along with selling insurance and helping people get debt free.
When my daughter Carly Beth was killed in an auto crash in 2002 her boyfriend asked me to sing at her funeral. At first I thought there was no way.But when he said that Carly had always told him about how I sang so beautifully and played and he thought Carly would have wanted that, then I agreed to do so. So I thought the Lord was giving me an assignment and so I sang a song about Carly's miracle when she almost died as an infant. Then I sang a song that is much instrumental that she used to dance to when I did my worship time in the echoeing kitchen at our old place. People came up to me afterwards and asked me if they could have a copy of those songs. So many that I went to an old friend tk and asked him to help me record them. Well tk was blessed by the songs and turned his wayward life over to Christ while he witnessed the Lord give me songs to complete that project. Now he's leading worship at our church also and he is on all three of my Christian projects.
I feel like Joshua who was just getting ready to fight at 80. :o) Just when I thought I was passed my time then out of a tragedy God gave new life to an old passion. I've dedicated my songwriting to Him. So it's already a success!
Funny, for years my dad used to bug me and ask me, "why do you waste so much time plunkin' on that geetar when you need to go out and learn a trade to support yourself?" Oh I learned all the trades as my dad knew how to do everything. We did tree service, painted, built houses, built decks and fences, chopped wood and sold firewood etc. And all of that is and was good! One day when I was 18 years old I caught my dad walking out of the music room with tears in his eyes. When he saw me walking down the hall he grabbed me and wept over my shoulder and said how wrong he had been. He had listened to several of my recordings that day and he couldn't believe that "numb noggin' norman actually could put logical sentences together and actually sing on key. :o) But like my parents I put my family's needs first and supported my family where I could get benefits for my family.
In any case, now I am pursuing recording my songs and sharing them when they fit the moment for God's glory and the edification of the body of Christ. I love to be an encourager for God encourages me. Before I'm done, I want to put together a presentation that will involve a whole community of artists to express in song, viniettes, videography, effects, testimonies God's story how I've experienced it. God bless you! And thanks for stopping by!

Did you know if you will not think twice about lying, you're doing so because you don't trust God?
Did you know that trusting God always has a good consequence?
Did you know that obeying God also always has a good consequence?

Songwriting is something that I've done my whole life. Without thinking about it, it's been a way of musically journaling my journey in life. I first was published in 1971 by Chandos Music/Folklore Productions/Manny Greenhill. I like to touch peoples...
