PLEASE call me ROYCE!
I have a big favor to ask. Most people know me as ROYCE Taylor, the only people who know my real first name is "Lynn" are usually family members and friends from long ago. Sight unseen as Lynn I was always presumed female, much to the surprise of many of my school teachers. If you search the web for Lynn Taylor, you'll find they are women. If you search Royce Taylor, you'll find someone that is not me. So it has become necessary for me to use my full name, Lynn Royce Taylor. But still, not everyone knows. You see, it's not something I tell everyone, so please help me keep this little secret between us?
Lynn Royce Taylor timeline.
The Late 60s
As a junior in High School back in Columbiana, Ohio, David Musselman and I formed a singing duet we called the Gospel Chords. From the beginning we were singing nearly every weekend all over Ohio, PA, and West Virginia. In a mere three years we had expanded to a trio then a complete Gospel Quartet and were traveling around the nation, doing TV, radio, and recording albums.
The 70s
This continued for over 12 years and the members of the group were getting married and having children making it more difficult to continue touring. By this time I had two young boys of my own and another would come along soon after.
The 80s
For about 10 years I wasn't singing as a career but chose to work and raise my young family. Those became some difficult years and you can read how God sustained me during that time in my life.
The 90s
I joined the Vogues from Pittsburgh. In the 60s the original four men carved a niche in popular music that still sets a unique standard today. Great songs like, "You Are My Special Angel, Turn Around Look at Me, Five O'clock World, You're The One," and many more were chart topping favorites. I toured as tenor vocalist for this group until 1997 when I chose to return to my first love of Gospel Music and ministry.
2000 and beyond
2002 whisked me to Nashville, TN and back into Gospel Quartet music singing tenor once again. First with the famous Stamps Quartet, not only an old name in Gospel Music but one of the backup quartets for Elvis Presley in the 70s. Later, I sang with the best known name in Gospel Music, the Blackwood Brothers, with Ron and R.W. Blackwood, Jr. and family. Then 3 years with the legendary Toney Brothers.
Today
I'm pleased to travel where I'm invited and share both music and ministry as a solo artist and evangelist. I'm "Putting the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace to the Pavement." Contact me and let's proclaim this great message at your church, retreat, conference, or concert. LRTMin@aol.com or call 615-873-0482
I'm touring with another legendary quartet, the Elvis Imperials. The Imperials were the first quartet to back up Elvis Presley on his Las Vegas show. When they chose to work instead with jimmy Dean (yea the sausage guy was actually a successful entertainer), Elvis brought the Stamps Quartet to town. I have had the privilege now of singing tenor with both groups. The Elvis Imperials continue to tour the world singing gospel music to secular audiences who come to see a tribute to Elvis.
THE FINAL FOCUS --
Without my relationship to Jesus the Christ, the only begotten son of the true and living God, all of this would be in vain. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and life begins when you submit to God's word and invite Jesus to be Lord. The Word of God will never fail you in anything you face in life. The Word of God will not only sustain you in the tough times, but it will shield you in future times. It is relative to any time, with answers for all time. God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Contact me with questions. Christ is the Answer.

Call me for your next studio project. I'll help you maximize your vocals for a crisp, clear, strong delivery that will make your singing even more vivid and effective.
You can have great musicians, great tracks, and a great engineer, but if your vocals are weak, you've missed the point.
