About Liz Ester
Often called "The Next Selena," Liz Ester is an elastic talent who moves easily from ballads to salsa-inspired pop/rock music. And although she enjoys the comparison to the legendary Mexican-American singer, she prefers the nickname Cinderella. Liz recorded her first song "Me Haces Sonar" (You Inspire Me to Dream) in 2007, and plans on releasing an EP in Spring 2008. Liz is a young Puerto Rican singer and songwriter -- singing and writing are two of her biggest passions in life. Since she was little she has been singing. Liz has participated in different talent shows taking 1st place in many of them and was part of her church's choir and band. Liz has been invited to sing in different places around Puerto Rico and after having moved back to the northeast U.S. it is her desire to continue on the road of music. But for Liz Ester, her story goes much deeper than just music and songwriting. She hails from the city of Mayaguez, of the little isle of Puerto Rico, yet was born in Camden, NJ-- the United State's poorest city. At seven years old, her family moved to Puerto Rico with the promise of a better life, but her life was quickly wraught with disaster-- her parents separated before she turned 12, and her entire family lived in one room and used food stamps to survive. Staying in her father's mother's house, they were not treated like the rest of the family. She never had an quinceaƱera --a parallel to "sweet sixteens" in the U.S. but with much greater significance--- she never went to prom, or did many of the things that other girls were lucky enough to enjoy. But in spite of the troubles -- in fact because of them, she kept on singing. "Every difficult moment, but also every joyful and uplifting moment, filled my mouth with beautiful words and inspired poems," she says. Now, Liz Ester is trying to reach out and inspire others and touch lives with her music. Will you join with this Cinderella? Never Lose Hope www.LizEster.com www.youtube.com/LizEsther

I want to be   3/08/2008 - 9:52 PM
Watching and listening to people sing, something came to my mind. I have a long road to walk, a very long road, I don't have what it really takes to get to where my heart longs to be. Since I was a little girl, I loved to sing. I will sing at school... (login or sign up to read more)

A beautiful day to you my friend.

DRAW NEAR TO GOD AND HE WILL DRAW NEAR TO YOU

DIRECT GUIDANCE FROM GOD
Elijah was a man with the same passions we have and yet His communication with God was
a supernatural occurrence because he dared to draw near to God with an undivided heart. James 5:17. Those who believe and are totally surrendered to the will of the Father will seek and to be filled with the fullness of Him. Jesus prayed that we be one with Him , in spiritual unity with Him just as He is in spiritual unity with the Father. John 17:20-26. Paul Prayed that we might be filled with the fullness of God. Filled with the love, knowledge, wisdom and power of God. Ephesians 1:16; Ephesians 3:14; Colossians 1:9-11.

WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?
God does this so that the world may know that the Father send Jesus and that He loves and works in and through us just as He did Jesus. We in undivided surrender to the will of the Father are to allow the Holy Spirit total control. Nothing held back. We seek and are empowered by God's Spirit by faith. We are to speak and act by the instructions of the Spirit of God only.1 Corinthians 1:5. Who teaches us all things. John 14:26; 1 John 2:27; Luke 12:12. It is the Spirit that causes us to understand the deep things of God. We are enriched by God's Spirit in our knowledge, our speech and our actions, proving valid the truth of His intentions for those who choose to believe Him before the whole world. The Spirit of God however does not force or drive one into wild compulsive neurotic actions. He ministers to us and through us in gentle dove like actions. He strengthens our weak human personality and empowers us to do His will. (The works of Jesus.) He does not over power us or force us. The issue at stake here is that we may be fulled with His fullness and through that fullness at work within us Christ is glorified. The main purpose of this is that He may bring other people under the Lordship of Christ by the powerful effectual working of His Spirit in our lives.

Our Father desires that we come short in no gift that will enable us to be as Jesus every day of our lives that we remain on earth. Is this obtainable? Of course it is or our Father would not ask it of us. He says, He has ask nothing of us that is to hard for us to do. He freely offers us the fullness of Himself to do it with. We struggle and worry about what we can't do. Instead of accepting what we can do by the power of His Spirit and doing it. God commands us to pursue love and desire all the Spiritual gifting that He has provide for us to live, love, look and act like Jesus.
1Corinthian14:1, 12:1-7. Even that we may do the greater works which Jesus assures us are ours to do, if we are believers. John 14:12. God's says be strong, ( in the power of My might Ephesians 6:10) bold and of good courage for I will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:8; Proverbs 28:1; Philippians 1:14; Ephesians 6:19.

May you be filled each day with the knowledge of God's will with all wisdom and spiritual understanding. And be wiser than the enemy, yet harmless as doves in your expression of His love. May the fullness of His Spirit continually fill your life.

Love and hugs
Sylvia :)

Hello!!! How are you today? Are you hungry for more success in your walk with Jesus? It is Jesus desire that you be a fully functional and successful bold ambassador in the kingdom of God. Philemon 1:8-9; Ephesians 6:20. Just as successful as He was in becoming your Savior.

After feeding more than five thousand people by multiplying five small loaves of bread and two little fish Jesus commanded His disciples to get into a boat and go to the other side of the lake. (Sea of Galilee a freshwater lake). And after He sent this great multitude away, He Himself went up into the mountain to pray. Time past and evening fell as Jesus communed with His beloved Father. And the disciples found themselves in the middle of the lake tossed about by huge waves stirred up by a great opposing wind which battered them about and caused them to fear for their lives.. By the time Jesus had finished His prayer time with the Father it was the wee hours of the morning. (Between 3 AM and 6 AM) Having sent the disciples on ahead He set out walking across the sea to where they were. However, when they observed Him coming toward them walking on the water they were even more terrified than before. Now they had what they supposed was a ghost coming for them! And Jesus would have passed them by except in their fear they cried out. Mark 6: 48 ( Remember Jesus told them to go to the other side. He never told them to stop in the middle of the lake and fear any storm that stood in their way of obeying His command. He was going to meet them on the other side.) When Jesus heard their cries of terror immediately He stopped and talked with them saying," Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid. Peter responded Lord if that is really you COMMAND me come to you on the water. Jesus simple response was COME! Peter climbed down out of that wind and wave tossed boat in a great surge of instance faith, which enabled Him to walk to Jesus. Having taken His eyes off the wind and walking on the water to Jesus and having solved the ghost problem, Peter once again turned his attention to the boisterous winds that still raged about them. And he was once again overcome by fear and doubt, which immediately caused him to start to sink beneath the turbulent water. In his desperation Peter cried out to Jesus to save Him. And as Jesus stretched out His hand to save Peter He also said, O you of little faith, why did you doubt!!!

Notice Jesus COMMANDED His disciple to get into that boat and GO TO THE OTHER SIDE of the lake. Well, Jesus was fully aware of what they would find in the middle of the lake. Remember what Jesus commands of us He enables us to do by faith. No matter how big the storm is that stands between us and our destination. If He commands it of you, you are able to do it. He ask nothing, absolutely nothing of us that we cannot, by the power of His Spirit through obedience, accomplish. We are just as much His disciples as this group of frightened men were. And just as He command them to do, we are also commanded to do what He says fearlessly by faith without one smidgen of doubt. Just before these men set out on their voyage to cross the Sea of Galilee, which was their commanded destination. They had watched Jesus demonstrate to them that He alone was their sufficiency in life, by multiplying the five loaves of bread and the two fish. He alone was their, and now is our, abundantly sufficient bread of life. Whatever our need, it is found in Him. He demonstrated who He was to these disciples and immediately sent them out to face the raging wind and waves that stood between them and their destination. And when they failed to do that He made it clear to them (and us )that it was because of their small doubting faith. It is undoubting faith that we are to apply to every circumstance of life. Jesus is there to caught us when we fall and cry out to Him. Just as He was with Peter. But, oh have much better for us, and how He rejoices when by faith we determine to walk through the storms of life right into all the promises of His grace.

Matthew14: 22-33; Mark 6:45-52; James 1:6-8.
