Hi, I'm Jenni, a.k.a. "Hannah". No, I've never lived in Montana. ;) I'm talking Hannah as in 1 Samuel, chapters 1 and 2. My "split personality" is attributed to co-launching Hannah's Prayer Ministries and writing the book Hannah's Hope.
While Hannah is a huge part of my life, there's much more too. My parents, Ralph and Betty Camp, are with Cadence International (formerly Overseas Christian Servicemen's Centers or OCSC) so I grew up around the military, moving as frequently as military families. I attended 9 different schools by the time I graduated from high school (including 2 different homeschool seasons/locations) and have lived in at least 22 different homes all over the US and 3 parts of Japan. I am a high school homeschool graduate and attribute much of what God has been able to do through my life to the study skills I learned at home. Rick and I met my freshman year of college at The Master's College (John MacArthur) in southern California and married 2 years later. I have one older brother who lives in Washington with his family -a big ShoutLife welcome to my SIL Diana!
I'm probably best described as a "hat juggler". What hats am I juggling? Let's see...

Death in family

My husband's grandmother (90) went home to be with Jesus today after intense physical suffering. We are rejoicing that she is seeing Jesus face to face and will never again know pain. But our hearts have a missing piece and we are taking a few days...

This is one of my favorite songs for praise and worship!
There is this atheist swimming in the ocean. All of the sudden he sees this shark in the water, so he starts swimming towards his boat.
As he looks back he sees the shark turn and head towards him. His boat is a ways off and he starts swimming like crazy. He's scared to death, and as he turns to see the jaws of the great white beast open revealing its teeth in a horrific splendor, the atheist screams, "Oh God! Save me!"
In an instant time is frozen and a bright light shines down from above. The man is motionless in the water when he hears the voice of God say, "You are an atheist. Why do you call upon me when you do not believe in me?"
Aghast with confusion and knowing he can't lie the man replies, "Well, that's true I don't believe in you, but how about the shark? Can you make the shark believe in you?"
The Lord replies, "As you wish," and the light retracted back into the heavens and the man could feel the water begin to move once again.
As the atheist looks back he can see the jaws of the shark start to close down on him, when all of sudden the shark stops and pulls back.
Shocked, the man looks at the shark as the huge beast closes its eyes and bows its head and says, "Thank you Lord for this food for which I am about to receive..."

I haven't figured out how to give the lesson plans away with the books, and I normally teach the children when I come to read the stories in the classrooms then leave a packet with the teacher for the next school year with a copy of the book and all the lesson plans (even if we don't do them in class). But if it is something you are interested in, I could email them to you. They are in word document form. I love sharing ideas with everyone! And they are just simple things that make the book come alive for the children. Thanks to for the kind words about my miscarriages. I know one day I will be able to hold those children in my arms. It no longer hurts (as much) to talk of them and I wanted to honor them some way here on earth.
Thanks for the comments and the warm welcome to ShoutLife! I will have to look at your site in more detail when I get the chance. I too lost several children during miscarriages...so I know the pain well. The next story that I have written is in honor of one of those children. (This first story is for my son, Jeremy, who is now 22) It is a great book and I have been reading it to children in first and second grade classrooms here in Phoenix. Both girls and boys love the story! It is a great problem-solving story, but I have lesson plans for science and math to go along with the story (being that I was a teacher and all!) 26. When was the last time you cried? I almost cried a couple weeks ago when I had to get on the roof to help lay shingles. I was afraid to step off the ladder to the roof. I prayed about it and God helped me deal with my fears. Yes, I helped lay shingles.
