GODSONGS recording studio
Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by to visit our new site. GODSONGS opened on
Oct.1st, and we are blown away by all of the new friends and visitors who have
hooked up with us. I'm also with a band/the4thman,and very involved as a song-
writer with SESAC,so things are really hectic at this time - but it's all good.
We are still putting some last minute finishing touches on our studio, but we
are excited about serving the Body of Christ in recording music/songs for all
the world/church to hear! If you are a band/soloist/singer-songwriter looking
for a studio that is not going to break you financially, and will help you get
that professional sound you have to have to really get anywhere... call us or
email us and we'll make it happen. God bless you, and enjoy your visit.
CONSECRATED/SET APART
GODSONGS , was an idea/vision that God placed, actually burned into my heart years ago. Before I go any further, let me simply say that this studio is wholly consecrated to God. Everything, from the lighting, to the furniture, the recording equipment, from the ceiling to the floor, all of it is set apart for God, and for the express purpose of creating godly, anointed music for Him. Please know that this studio is a ministry first, and a business second(a distant one at that). While I believe all music has beauty or merit
within; there is something special, distinct about music that is dedicated wholly and exclusively for Him, and for Him alone. That is the sole purpose of this studio, it is all for Him.
Finding a place to record your songs is really not that hard, today there are literally thousands of studios where that can be done - and that's part of the problem. There are now so many choices, that deciding where to record can be taxing, and a problem in and of itself. Finding the "best" place to record is not so easy. I know that being with people that share your heart/love for God is the key or starting point for most Christian artists/singers/bands; but that is not as easy as it sounds. Often, money and the gotta-get-em-in-and-out pace, is the way a studio operates(not unlike an assembly line approach). Here, the artists and songs are the main focus, and anything less than "excellent" is considered a failure. Period. I personally believe that anything recorded for God should be our very best effort, and "money" should not be the deciding factor on whether we do that or not.

THE "ATMOSPHERE"
GODSONGS recording studio is designed to inspire musicians/bands/and singers
to higher places... soft lighting, warm colors, and artwork that speaks of God's
works are part of the atmosphere that surrounds us as we create music and songs
that will live on long after our ministries have faded. A large lounge area for
breaks or visitors is adjacent to the studio, along with a large recreation room
for coffee or cold beverages(even a game of pool for long sessions). Our desire
was to provide a studio for artists that is fun, relaxing, and professional in
every way. I think you will find it is all that and more. (over 1200 sq.ft)
THE BOTTOM LINE...
For me, it's all about the "sound". For the listener, it either sounds good, or it doesn't. He or she may not be able to tell you why it sounds "good" or "bad", but they know when they don't like the way it sounds... because music is so "subjective", and everyone has an opinion(their like belly buttons, we all have one); I have to know what you the artist/band thinks sounds good. If you choose to record here, I'll ask you to tell me 3-4 artists/bands you think sound "good". I'll also ask you to give me 2-3 songs that have the mix/sound
you really like, or think hits the mark/bullseye.
From there, we will map out a plan/strategy for getting the sound you want for your project. I won't bring anyone into the studio to record unless we are all on the same page as to what we want to do, and have an idea of where we're headed. If my name is going on the record/project; it has to be right. As you probably have noticed, I haven't said a lot on the subject of money or fees; that is because they are not the bottom line. For more direct talks about costs/fees/and the whole money thing; just call/email, and we can discuss that one on one, and meet to go over your vision for your music ministry. I look forward to hearing from you - and pray God leads people to our studio who truly have musical gifts that the world is destined to hear... may God bless all of you who sing and play for our King!
