Eglise El shaddai "God who Is more than enough" is one of the charismatic evangelical pentecostal church in uvira city eastern D.R.Congo.
A former Teacher in Public schools, Steven Alembe, received the vision for a church that will serve God and give people grace, and unity without racial or tribalistic disciminations, in 1998, the church that will teach God's principles, Baptism of the Holy spirit, principles of prosperity and live a first century kind of christianity where love, power, unity were leading believers, the church that will be established in sound doctrine of Grace and challenge christians to have good charactor so that we may attract many to jesus. He responded to this call but it was so early, because He had not yet got any formal Bible training. it is then in 2002, when God openned the doors for training, and went to seychelles(Indian Ocean) for Bible and Theological studies, completed and came back with a degree.
All this under a spiritual father and Mentor, Pastor Olivier Derain of El Shaddai Bujumbura-burundi in central Africa.
At the completion, Steven would like to remain overseas like other Congolese who flee the armed conflict; but God did not stop telling him to come back and do something for him in D.R.Congo. God brought all those things that He told Him in 1998 to his heart.
with Obedience, Steven Alembe Accepted to come back and started ElShaddai Church ( "Eglise" in french) in uvira near Bujumbura, under the leadership of his Mentor Pastor Olivier Derain, and this, in january 2007 with 8 people, sunday attendance in a hired hall paid around 50$US per month. Over the months; the ministry is really growing and after 3 years, the sunday attendance has grown from 8 to 203 persons, and we are praying for the great to happen, and change to be seen in the city, one person at time.
After All this time, Pastor Steven Alembe, is not yet satisfied with the gospel results, and He wants to see more people come to Jesus, and territories impacted by the Gospel Message.
That is why by praying and getting connected to others in the same field, He got connected to the new way of presenting the Gospel Message by planting House churches in central Africa.
That is why from 4th to 9th March 2009, He went to Kenya with other 6 people to be trained by Brother Roger THOMAN, the executive director of Appleseed Ministry Group from California (USA) on rethink the church and how some one may get involved in the simple/house church revolution. And after the training, Steven is seeing some great move of the holy Spirit, because the people who do not attend church services in the neigbourhood now can open there houses to be churches and invite friends to pray from there.
Moslems, who are accepting Jesus Christ from their homes and by fear of not going to church(institutional) can open their homes to be churches and they are free to express themselves and take part of sharing ( 1 Corinthians 14:26). To God all the Glory!!!
Steven Alembe, as member of the body of Christ, He networks with other members worldwide like: Pastor Wesley Berry ( Oklahoma), Bishop Doyle K. Volontine,Christian Action Network from South Africa, Arch Bishop John of All Nations Anglican Church, Deborah and Harvey WITTMIER of Deborah Ministries International and Crossfire Church without walls among others from Europe, Africa, and USA.

WHAT IS CHURCH SERVICE FOR US.
=============================
A Place for Learning
--------------------
To us, studying the Bible is vital because it not only instructs us intellectually, but also guides us spiritually, it makes us pure and let us grow spiritually. We believe it and accept it as God's Word to us, a Book that is alive and relevant to life today. Learning its truths is a thrilling adventure. (Jean 15:3, 2Tim 2:2, Mathiew 28:19-20).
We believe that the Holy spririt can use everyone, so everybody has something to share in the house church gatherings ( 1 Corinth 14:26).
A Place for Worship
-------------------
The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God, giving Him our worship and receiving His blessing and inspiration. Each of
These occasions is a special time of spiritual refreshment. (Hebr. 10:25,Psaumes 105:1-5).
A Place for Enrichment
----------------------
For every person at every age level we offer a wealth of opportunities - special programs and ministries for children, youth and adults , couples, women, which fill the church calendar. with this we just do outings, pic nic, sports, tours, retraits, for every group to help christians enjoy their everyday lives. (Psaumes 112:1-3).
A Place for Friendship
----------------------
Nothing quite compares to the joy of Christian friendship. That's why we make it a priority to build lasting bonds between the members of our church family - bonds of concern and genuine commitment to one another. Best of all, this circle of care is ever-widening. We'd love for it to include you, too.(1corinthians 13: 13)
A Place for Service
-------------------
Just as Jesus Christ came "not to be ministered unto, but to minister..." we accept our responsibility to reach out in service to others. This applies both within the church family and outside our fellowship. we go to prison and hospitals to pray and give material/Money. elderly House visit to show the love of God through our actions.
we alson have a school where we teach christian curriculum to make impact in the future generation.
