Donna is a missionary with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada working in the country of Mozambique, Africa. Both she and her husband grew up overseas as missionary kids (Brazil and Tanzania respectively). They now have three missionary kids of their own.
Donna has always loved to write. Letters and journals have been a natural outlet for that drive for years. Since discovering the Christian Writer's site called Faithwriters online a number of years ago, Donna has grown and stretched as a writer. Since then she has been published in numerous magazines and e-magazines. She worked on the Candle of Prayer project contributing various articles to the booklet which was included with the beautiful fragrant gift candles.
Missions is a big part of who Donna is. As a result much of her writing is influenced by an international flavor. Her prayer is that people would explore the world through a different set of eyes, and know that they too have a part to play in reaching the world for the Lord. While overseas, Donna has been keeping a regular website sharing about what life is like for a missionary in Mozambique. Check it out: http://www.thehaugs.spaces.live.com

Walking home from school for lunch in the Brazilian, tropical mid-day sun was a killer. As I stepped outside of the school hallway, the heat would slam onto my shoulders and seem to weigh me down. My four siblings and I would walk as quickly as we co...

Last night was a night not unlike any other. Hubby an...
