Battlecry was released on Dan Lee's private label Megalight Records as a limited edition CD single demo. Produced by Dan Lee, this studio track was completed July 7, 2007. Clocking in at 4 minutes & 12 seconds, it is the song Dan Lee wrote when he formed Steel Witness during the summer of 2006. In mid June 2007, he and guitarist Jeremy Lockhart entered the studio and started work on it. Lead vocals, guitars, and drums were completed the first night?s session. Then on July 6th, finished by recording the backup vocals with Paul Tucker on bass. The final mixdown was the next night, July 7th, 2007. Since its debut, it has been compared to early Petra, Whiteheart, and Queen. At the same time, others say it stands alone?original. But all in all, it is classic Christian metal of the 80?s. On July 11, 2007, Tim McGill, youth pastor of Sumiton Church of God, located in Sumiton, Alabama, played Battlecry to his Wednesday night class and had them judge it. One to five, it received four point one quarter stars. Not a bad beginning...

In early 1993 work on this project began which was be the first full length 10 song album for Dan Lee. The songs were written' but only 9 out of 10 were recorded, the sad part is in late 1994 everything was lost in a house fire, including all the masters to the two EP's, the master of the third project that was being worked on at the time. Two new studio project is being worked on and will be out soon. An new solo album and the band project known as STEEL WITNESS. Stay tuned for more information.

The second studio effort by Dan Lee. It was recorded the same way but the sound was allot better then before. Years of going in and out of studios with his mother paid off. Dan toured like before in support of the EP to reach the people. It first came out on Cass, and latter on CD. This EP was a little heaver then the (Self-Titled).

This self-titled EP debuted originally on Cass, latter on CD. It took only 2 weeks to record. Now that may not be very long, but believe it or not, the sound turned out well. It was the first time Dan Lee was able to really express himself without anyone telling him differently. He followed his heart and did what the Lord commanded him to do. To reach as many people as he could. Driven' by the Spirit and the Word he toured in and around Birmingham, Alabama on a mission of Faith, Hope and Love.

Dan Lee, born on August 29, 1968 in Birmingham, Alabama, and now living in Barberton, Ohio. Known for being a college community for UAB. Also well known for its music scene. Brother Cane started there. His mother was a member of a gospel quartet along side three other sisters. As a child was in and out of countless recording sessions with her, he paid close attention to what the A&R people where doing. Learning how to mix and master himself. Also took after his mother as a singer/songwriter. In 1982 moved to Largo, Florida and at the age of 15 started his first garage band called Predator. In 87' moved back to Birmingham and was lead vocal for some local bands in and around the area, this was the time of Christian Metal Bands such as STRYPER, BARREN CROSS, NEON CROSS, WHITECROSS and BLOODGOOD. This was the time to Rock. In 89' started a short lived band called TIMES FATE with brother Joey on Drums. Released a three song EP on cassette of only 100 copies which Dan financed himself. Wrote the songs for it but the other members did not care for there spiritual content. In 90' recorded, mastered and released a self-titled solo EP. 92' released 2nd solo EP called (Merciful Love). 94' started on a third solo called (Monochrome Dream) which was to be the first full length album. Unfortunately, lost everything he owned to a house fire, including all the masters to his solo work. Truly a loss. It took 10 years to get caught up. Now working on a new solo album plus the debute of his band STEEL WITNESS.
