In 1991, Ron and Becky Cowart found the Lord and wanted to form a new southern gospel band. Augusta's gospel group CHRISTIAN HARMONY was formed. The versatile group performs a powerful, southern gospel program. They also feature country gospel and hymn selections. Although the group has seen a lot of changes over the years, the group continues to fulfill their motto, "Praising Jesus Through Music."

At center stage is a strong trio with a combined 50+ years of singing experience:

RON COWART had a country band for many years, performing for thousands of people. He felt lead to leave country music to sing gospel music. He sings the tenor. He also plays the guitar and has written many songs for the group. He is a well-respected musician in the Augusta area.

BECKY COWART, started her singing career in gospel. With her voice and style of singing she ventured into country music. She met and married Ron. After many years of performing, Becky came home to gospel music. She sings the alto and thrills audiences everywhere.

BROOKE COWART SMITH, Ron and Becky's daughter, grew up in gospel music. She sings the soprano. After years of watching, she is an equal partner in the ministry and will take it to the next generation. Brooke has a strong call on her life and ministers in youth conferences, and Women's ministries.

RICHARD SMITH,Brooke's husband, is a knowledgeable sound technician and many over the years have complimented his skills.

Members are active and very committed to their church. This group is on the cutting edge of gospel music in the Augusta area. Homecomings, revivals, campmeetings, outdoor festivals, and just about everywhere that they have gospel singing, you'll find Christian Harmony performing their hearts out and encouraging others to give their all to the Lord Jesus Christ.
