That might be a stretch, but my writings have been compared to some of Thoreau's works, and some have O. Henry-esque endings. Tim Perry, author of Blessed is She; Living Lent with Mary, wrote that my book is 'a testimony to the goodness of God, who speaks in the most remarkable ways.'

Compassion, in which all ethics must take root, can only attain its breadth and depth if it embraces all living creatures and does not limit itself to mankind.

Albert Schweitzer

I think that I shall never see
a poem as lovely as a tree...
A tree that looks at God all day
and lifts her leafy arms to pray...
Poems are made by fools like me
but only God can make a tree.

my friend Maryann's ovarian cancer, rying to help   5/05/2012 - 11:17 AM
Hi my friends here on ShoutLife! Yesterday I posted a blog entitled "Memoir of a Melody" which is one of the stories from my book. It is about my friend Mary (aka 'Maryann') who was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. This breaks my heart; she... (login or sign up to read more)

Memoir of a Melody There could be no more perfect name for a child who loves music like Melody does. She also brightens at the sound of her momma's voice, the soothing murmurs of the teacher who adores her, and wind chimes. But she... (login or sign up to read more)

these are not original; they are from 'the minimalist' (www.mnmlst.com) who does not believe in copyrights. These, imho are some solid thoughts on the movement, and in life in general: The Occupy Wall Street protesters are rapidly becoming the Occ... (login or sign up to read more)

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeey you! Sorry it's taking me so long to respond these days! We are keeping busy... and that is tiring me out. But I am going to keep this message here a bit short and send you a REAL email to update you. But yep... definitely feeling a lot better. I swear cutting out gluten was the best thing for me. The thyroid meds definitely started the ball rolling... took care of the anxiety and some of the tired. But cutting out the gluten got rid of the roller coaster emotions. I am doing much better on a day to day basis... but every once in a while if I accidentally eat the wrong thing... or the ole hormones act up... I'll feel it a bit emotionally, mentally... and physically for a few days. But thankfully those days are few and far between. :) MUCH better than going through that day to day and week to week. SO yeah! God is good... and he continues to watch over, and take care of us. More to come in an email.... :)

The puppy is cute. I'm waiting for the pictures to be approved. Didn't know about the new picture up-loader. I'll post the new pics when I get the email notification. ;)

Hey Carlynn,

I didn't get an email notification of your note ;( Sorry to be so long. Pugsley's foot is healed from the surgery and he got it infected. I'll try to post the pics.

Thank you for what you said about one of my book covers. I try to get the cover close to the content. WDTCF? answers many questions that people have about Christianity and other observations.

Glad that you are helping another animal towards recovery. Continue to thank God for my upcoming lower back surgery. No worries here. Got to go and write more for Examiner posts. I'm so glad that you are uplifted ;) TTFN

Hi Carlynn, that first tree looks like a person dancing and worshiping and I like the poem. Thanks

Hey Carlynn,

Been very busy, but not too busy to type. I'm glad that you're enjoying your surroundings and you're in a beautiful place. I use to love Albuquerque because of the mountains and four seasons. Take advantage of all that God has for you to experience. Your position sounds rewarding also. How are you doing without Timothy? Are you still around animals where you are? Do you ever hear from Vickie? I think you introduced me to her.

I don't get over here as often as I use to because I'm making a little more money on Examiner.com. My dog has a growth on his toe that needs to be removed and after a second opinion, the cost went from $800 to $400, but it's still a bill and life goes on. Still wish I could claim him on my income tax, LOL

If you ever get a Face Book account, please let me know and don't forget about my web site Carlynn.

I'm working out with a 'personal trainer' (physical therapist) for my left buttocks and it's getting better.

Well, I've got to get busy and answer a load of emails. Thank you for thinking & praying for me - can always use the prayer. Love of Christ to you.

Hey there my friend, Just a note to say hello. I pray all is well with you and yours. God Bless..."Murphy"

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." (1 Thess 4: 16-17)
