1 Less Stone is a husband and wife team, Dave & Tami Smith, from the Houston TX area. We are currently finishing up our first CD and shopping for an avenue to release our material soon, God willing.
Many people have asked, "What's with your group name?" Here's the reason - Luke 19:37-40 The whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: "Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!" "I tell you," He replied, "if they keep their quiet, the stones will cry out."
Because we agree with those disciples, there is 1 Less Stone to cry out in our place!
1 Less Stone also produces custom music soundtracks for songwriters and artist that don't have the luxury of a recording studio or musicians. No job is too big or small. We've done everything from vocal demos with 1 instrument to full scale multi-track production. All the music on our site here...we produced, arranged and recorded.
We are blessed to be a part of the contemporary praise & worship team at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. It has been incredible to work with the wonderful musicians of Gloria Dei!
Our music has been compared to Phillips, Craig, and Dean - 4 Him, Watermark, Crowded House, Mercy Me, Casting Crowns...depending on whatever mood we're in!
Several people have asked about the photos on our site. These were taken by our friend (and music minister) Joel Endicott. He's quite an amazing photographer. Check out his website to see all his beautiful work...It truly is art capturing God's wonderful creation! We thank him for allowing us to use his photos for our upcoming CD cover and our site.
